This page explains what personal data we process when you use carstopdetection.com, why, and what rights you have.
Who is responsible
The controller is Siska Solutions s.r.o., Palánok 1, 949 01 Nitra, Slovak Republic, ID (IČO) 57 308 861, mario@siska.sk. We have not appointed a data protection officer.
What we process and why
- Visiting the website. The server records your IP address, the time, the requested page and your browser type. We need this to run and protect the site (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after about two weeks.
- Analytics. Only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) we use Google Analytics to measure visits and page use. We do not use advertising cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time with the icon in the corner of the page; this does not affect earlier processing. The cookies and their duration are listed in the same window.
- Contact form. Name, email address, your message and any camera details you enter. We use them to answer you and prepare an offer (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and keep them for 3 years from our last communication. If a contract follows, statutory retention periods apply.
- Video test. Company, contact person, email address, note, the video link and the video. Footage may show people or licence plates, so please send only recordings you are allowed to share. We use the data to run the test (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Videos are stored on our own server, and videos and requests are deleted 3 months after the test ends.
- Spam protection. Forms are protected by ALTCHA, which runs on our server. Your browser solves a short calculation; no cookies are used and no data goes to a third party.
Who receives the data
We process your data ourselves. Our server is rented from OneProvider and runs in a Scaleway data centre in France, and our backup mailbox is with Websupport; these providers supply only technical infrastructure and have no role in handling your data. Google receives data only if you consent to analytics. We do not sell personal data or share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EU
Google Analytics data may be transferred to the USA. Such transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Our server is in France.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To use these rights, write to mario@siska.sk. You may also complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk). Providing data in the forms is voluntary, but we cannot reply without it. We do not use automated decision-making.
Visitors outside the EU
If your browser’s time zone is in the USA, Australia or New Zealand, no consent banner is shown and analytics runs automatically. To stop it, block cookies in your browser or write to us.
Changes
If our processing changes, we will update this page.
